The Bafumbira World Iwacu Heza festival will be happening for the 4th time on the 31st of July 2022 at the Hilltop gardens naguru. Iwacu Heza is a celebration of culture which brings together the Bafumbira, Banyarwanda and Barundi communities to identify, network and do charity work.
Bafumbira World is the larger group that organizes this festival. Besides celebrating contemporary culture, this event will see people of good will contribute towards empowering the girl child in making re -usable sanitary pads, a project being managed by the Rotary Club of Mgahinga Kisoro.
The festival is scheduled for 31st July 2022 at Hilltop Naguru. Gates will be open at Midday and people should look out for performances from traditional dancers, live band, poetry, local dishes and drinks, popular Djs and Musicians.
Early bird tickets are currently on sale at UGX 10,000/- from select stores or online and UGX 15,000/-at the gate. Part of the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to empowering the girl child in making re-usable sanitary pads hence reducing the number of girls who drop out of school due to lack of the same.
